Yes, Rocks brand of cigarettes are actually called Coughin' Nail. The sad thing is that people would probably buy such a brand.
The "prepaid cellphone" is a modern cliche, of course. It's trotted out on every cop show to explain why a call is untraceable. I'm assuming that a private eye knows where to lay hands on such an item in the middle of the night, even though I've never seen such a thing myself.
